Crawl space mold
grows in little basements or rooms, in which one
cannot stand up. Crawl spaces are usually dark
and extremely moist, and may have earthy floors.
They are extremely conducive for crawl space mold
growth.

People usually do not visit the crawl space regularly.
As a result, crawl space mold can grow undisturbed
for a long time. The problem with crawl space
mold
is that, the mold spores can start invading the
living environment as well. When air warms up,
it rises to upper levels in the room or space.
Similarly, in a crawl space, the warm air moves
up, and the pressure sucks this air into the main
region of the house. Mold
spores also accompany this air, thus invading
the house and growing in the main rooms. This
can cause many health problems to the people in
the house, such as allergy symptoms
and sickness.
To avoid this, one must prevent crawl space mold
from growing. Using a plastic vapor barrier or
concrete
to finish the crawl space will prevent mold
growth, by not allowing moisture from the
earth to enter the space.
If you find mold
growing in your crawl space, do not enter
it without protective clothing and equipment.
It is best to clean it thoroughly with the help
of a professional and then, insulating it to prevent
further mold growth.
